Ingredients to make Lotus stem biryani

  • 8 to 10 lotus stem pieces
  • 1 cup green paste ( coriander,saunf, mint leaves, green chillies, coconut )
  • 1 tsp garam masala pd
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 cup rice
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup coriander chopped
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 4 to 5 curry leaves

How to make Lotus stem biryani

  1. In a cooker add oil fry curry leaves when it crackle add onions, fry till light pink then add tomatoes keep stirring till oil comes out then add lotus stem fry well then add garam masala pd mix well then add chopped coriander, then add water , rice, salt and pressure cook it for 3 whistle.

My Tip:

You can use soya nuggets, corn or paneer in this biryani.
