Chaunk Wale Hare Matar

Ingredients to make Chaunk Wale Hare Matar

  • Green peas 2 cups
  • Oil/ ghee 1 tsp
  • jeera 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste.
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • sugar 1/4 tsp
  • Chopped onion 2 tsp ( garnish)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

How to make Chaunk Wale Hare Matar

  1. Heat oil in a pan and splutter cumin seeds
  2. Add peas, red chili powder, garam masala, sugar and salt. Mix well
  3. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or till peas are soft and cooked.
  4. Squeeze lemon juice. Toss well. Garnish with chopped onion.
  5. Savour the yummy dish with evening tea or paratha.
