Winter speciality specially for the last trimester.Loaded with Gond( edible gum) which is beneficial in strengthing the back bone

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rawa 3/4 cup
  2. Whole wheat flour 1 cup
  3. Pure ghee 1 cup
  4. Jaggery 3/4 cup
  5. Gond 1/4 cup (crush it with pestal)
  6. Nuts( can use any sliced nuts - I have used almonds and pistachios)


  1. Take a pan and add 1 tbsp ghee
  2. Add the rawa and Aata and sautee
  3. Sautee till nice aroma fills the air and golden colour is visible
  4. Remove from the pan and keep aside
  5. From the remaining ghee add tsp and fry the gond.It will all puff up
  6. When it cools slightly crush it.
  7. Again take ghee in the pan and now add jaggery
  8. When the jaggery melts ,immediately add the aata and rawa mixture. add half of the gond mixture too
  9. Mix well and remove it in a greased thali
  10. Flatten it
  11. Add nuts and remaining gond
  12. Press slightly
  13. Make squares and let it cool
  14. Store in a air tight container
  15. Stays well for weeks(if they any left)
