ABOUT Kothimbir vada RECIPE

It is a maharashtrian recipe made from gram flour and spices.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Gram flour 1 cup
  2. Asafoetida 1/4 tbsp
  3. Coriander leaves 2 tbsp chopped
  4. Mustard seed 1 tbsp
  5. Garlic 1 tbsp chopped
  6. Oil 3 tbsp
  7. Cumin seed 1 tbsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
  10. Rice flour 1 tbsp
  11. Garam masala 1 tbsp
  12. Green chilli 2 chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add besan, rice flour, water and mix well and make a dosa consistancy.
  2. In a pan, add oil, cumin seed, mustard seed, carrom seed, and onion and saute for a minute,
  3. Add Turmeric, coriander leaves and mixes well
  4. Add gram flour mixture and keep stirring till it combined well Milliken karound 5 minutes.
  5. Removed it in greesed tin and spread it evenly in a tin.
  6. Cool down the mixture for about 20 minutes and unmould it.
  7. Cut them into one inches cubes.
  8. Deep fry it till golden brown on both sides on medium flame.
  9. Served with imli chutney.
