Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 2 cup semolina
  2. 1 cup sour curd
  3. 1 sachet fruit salt
  4. 3-4 teaspoon oil
  5. salt to taste
  6. Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
  7. Red pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Sambhar masala 1 teaspoon
  9. 4 potatoes
  10. 2 tablespoon green peas
  11. 1 tablespoon curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Soak semolina in beaten curd for 10 minutes.
  2. Add salt to taste and fruit salt into the batter.
  3. Put water in a steamer. Grease an Idli stand and pour the mixture into it. Steam for 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile boil, peel and mash potatoes. Boil peas as well.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over a medium flame. Add half the mustard seeds and half the curry leaves.
  6. Add mashed potatoes, peas, chopped green chillies and salt.
  7. Add red pepper powder and sambhar masala. Stir-fry the masala.
  8. In the steamer idlis are also ready. Put idlis on a plate and put the potato masala between 2 idlis.
  9. Heat oil. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  10. Put idli sandwiches in it. Flip. Cook both sides.
  11. Your idli sandwich is ready to serve with tomato sauce or chutney
