ABOUT Haath ki roti RECIPE

Being first meal of the day breakfast need to be healthy and nutritious. Haath ki roti is made of combination of flours and flattened on palm which gives it special warmth of love.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Whole wheat flour 1 cup
  2. Gram flour 1/3 cup
  3. Bajra flour 1/3 cup
  4. Corn meal 2 tbsp
  5. Curd 2 tbsp
  6. Butter softened 1 tbsp
  7. Methi leaves 1/2 cup
  8. Ginger paste 2 tbsp
  9. Green chilies 3
  10. Salt 2/3 tesp
  11. Red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  12. Carrom seeds 1/2 tesp
  13. Baking soda a pinch
  14. Luke warm water as needed
  15. Butter to top

Instructions

  1. Mix together whole wheat flour, bajra flour, gram flour, corn meal and softened butter.
  2. In flour mixture add curd,salt,red chilli powder, Carrom seeds, baking soda, ginger paste, chopped green chilies and chopped green methi leaves. Mix well.
  3. Knead into a very soft dough using luke warm water. Rest the dough for 10 minutes.
  4. Pinch a ball from dough. Flatten it on your greased palm into a roti.
  5. Place it on to a hot griddle.
  6. When small bubbles appear flip the roti.
  7. Cook on griddle for another half minute and then cook both sides on direct flame.
  8. Top with butter and serve with mint chutney.
