ABOUT Matar ka nimona RECIPE

This is a delicious and yummy curry made with peas, to be served with some pulao or plain rice.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 boiled potatoes cubes/makhana
  2. Green peas 1/2 cup
  3. Oil 1 tbsp
  4. Jeera 1 tsp
  5. Onion sliced 1 medium
  6. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  7. Salt according to taste
  8. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  9. Haldi 1 tsp


  1. Green peas in a blender using 1 tbsp of water and keep aside. peas puree is ready.
  2. Heat the oil in a deep nonstick pan and add the cumin seeds,onion puree ,coriander powder,haldi,red chilli powder ,salt and a saute over a medium flame for 3 minutes.while stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the green peas puree mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.while stir occasionally.
  4. Add the fried potatoes/ makhana and 1 cup of water mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes .while stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve hot.

It goes well with plain rice.
