Rajma or the kidney beans are very rich in proteins and iron, very healthy for the body. So this is a recipe of the typical north Indian style rajma curry to be served with some rice or roti.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Rajma -soaked over night
  2. Potato-1 boiled,for making the gravy thick
  3. Garlic and ginger paste 1 spoon
  4. Cumin powder 1 spoon
  5. Coriander powder 1 spoon
  6. Red chilli powder 1 spoon
  7. Coriander leaves for garnish
  8. Garam masala 1/2 spoon
  9. Coriander powder
  10. Onion 2 chopped


  1. First put oil in cooker and put some cumin and red dry chilli and bay leaves
  2. Now put the onion and fry until brown
  3. Now put the all masala and fry until the oil comes out
  4. Now put the rajma and fry some time
  5. And now put some water and close the lid
  6. And after the 1 whistle switch off the gas and garnish with green coriander leaves
