ABOUT Hare chane ka pulao RECIPE

It is very unique flavour pulao. I am a big fan of this. I also make dum birayani of green gram. Green gram contains vitamin c, e , fiber and rich in antioxidants. It also improves digestion. It is very healthy for children also.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Hara chana 1 cup
  2. Rice 1 cup ( soaked for 1/2 hour)
  3. Onion 1 chopped
  4. Ginger 1 tablespoon chopped
  5. Garlic 1 tablespoon chopped
  6. Tomato 1 chopped (optional)
  7. Cumin seeds 1 tablespoon
  8. Green cardamom 2
  9. Cloves 3
  10. Cinnamon sticks 1
  11. Star anise 1
  12. Salt 2 tablespoon (to taste)
  13. Green chillies 2 chopped ( to taste)
  14. Ghee 2 tablespoon


  1. Take a pan add ghee when it is hot add all dry whole masalas. Cook for 1 minute.
  2. Now add garlic, jeera. Stir constantly. After 1 minute add chopped onion and ginger. Cook till onion becomes translucent.
  3. Now add chopped tomato. Cook till masala leaves oil.
  4. Now add salt and green chillies. Stir it.
  5. Now add hara chana and roast it for 5 mintues in masala.
  6. Now add soaked rise and mix well.
  7. Add 2 cups of water and cook it with closed lid.
  8. Check it after somtime and stir it.
  9. When your rice are done your hare chane ka pulao is ready.
  10. Serve it with raita or chutney of your choice.
