Bhindi Masala Gravy with No onion and no Garlic

ABOUT Bhindi Masala Gravy with No onion and no Garlic RECIPE

This is a delightfully quick recipe that is different from the conventional bhindi masala.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 250gm Lady Finger chopped medium size 2 inches
  2. 4 tablespoon cooking oil
  3. 1 tablespoon cumin seeds (jeera)
  4. ½ tablespoon mustard seeds (Sarson/Rai)
  5. ½ tablespoon fennel seeds (saunf)
  6. 2 dry red chillis
  7. 6-7 black cardamom (Kali Elaichi)
  8. 10gm peanuts
  9. 50gm coconut chopped
  10. 2 tablespoon turmeric (haldi) powder
  11. 1 small cup tomato puree
  12. 2 tablespoon Chana Dal
  13. Coriander leaves (dhaniya patta) chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat again 2 tablespoon cooking oil in the pan and add Lady Finger chopped, turmeric (haldi) powder, salt in it. Fry it well.
  2. Add fennel seeds (saunf), dry red chillis, cumin seeds (jeera) and fry it for 1 min then.  Grind all fried ingredients peanuts, coconut chopped, chana dal, seeds (saunf), dry red chillis, cumin seeds (jeera) in a smooth mixture grinder.
  3. Heat the pan with 2 tablespoon cooking oil and add little bit cumin seeds (jeera), 2-3 dry chillis, mustard seeds (Sarson/Rai).
  4. Add tomato puree into the pan and stir it for 1 min on medium flame.
  5. Add water in the pan and bring to a boil.
  6. Add fried bhindi/ lady finger in it and cover it with a lid very well for 2-3 mins.
  7. When well-cooked, add grinded masala mixture powder into the pan. Stir well.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  9. Serve with Roti.
