Cute little pancakes made with besan will attract the kiddos to pick them up and eat . A healthy and nutritious breakfast in winters, you can add more veggies too.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup besan
  2. 1 small onion
  3. 1/4 cup methi leaves
  4. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  5. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1/2 tsp carrom seeds
  7. salt, to taste
  8. 1 cup water
  9. oil, as required


  1. Take besan, add salt and all dry spices and mix well.
  2. Add chopped fine onions and methi leaves to it.
  3. Add water and make a batter.
  4. Let it rest for 20-25 mins.
  5. Heat a tawa, sprinkle some oil drops on it.
  6. Pour the batter into small circles on the tawa.
  7. Flip them when the underside is cooked and brown.
  8. Add some oil drops and cook well on low to medium flame both sides.
  9. Serve hot with tomato sauce and chutney.
