Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice - 2 cup
  2. Spinach - 250 gms
  3. Chopped tomatoes - 2 medium
  4. Chopped onion - 1 medium
  5. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  6. Peas - 1 tbsp
  7. Cottage cheese / paneer - 1/2 bowl
  8. Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
  9. Cloves - 2 - 3
  10. Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
  11. Bay leaf - 1 - 2
  12. Whole black pepper - 2 - 3
  13. Green cardamom - 1 - 2
  14. Black cardamom - 1
  15. Clarified butter / ghee - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a blender add spinach and make a paste.
  2. Heat clarified butter in a pan.
  3. Add cottage cheese / panner fry and strain it.
  4. Add cumin seeds,black pepper,cloves,cinnamon,bay leaf,cardamom.
  5. Add onion and fry till brown.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  7. Add tomatoes,peas and spinach paste and stir fry for 4 - 5 mins.
  8. Soak rice for 15 mins.
  9. Add rice and mix well.
  10. Add cottage cheese / paneer,salt and 4 cup of water.
  11. Once boiled simmer the gas and cover it.
  12. Serve with raita
