About Crispy Bajra Nuggets Recipe

This recipe is fantastic! It's easy to make and my 3 year old daughter loves it.

Crispy Bajra Nuggets

Ingredients to make Crispy Bajra Nuggets

  • 1 cup bajra flour (roasted in butter)
  • 1 cup boiled and grated potato
  • 1/2 cup roasted and grounded peanuts
  • 4-5 green chillies
  • 1-2 tbsp coriander powder
  • salt to taste
  • butter milk as required to bind the dough
  • oil to deep fry
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (boiled and mashed corn, green peas, grated onion and carrot)
  • 1/2 cup spinach finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup boiled grated potato
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp dried mango powder
  • 1 tbsp green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 2-3 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • A pinch of sugar powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup corn flour batter for coating
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs for coating

How to make Crispy Bajra Nuggets

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the bajra, potato, peanut crush and all the spices (salt, coriander powder, green chillies finely chopped, red chili flakes) to make a mixture for the dough.
  2. Now pour in the butter milk little by little to bind it into a thick dough.
  3. Roughly give one whizz to the corn in the blender but make sure that you don't make a fine paste. Then add the carrot , green peas, onion, finely chopped spinach , coriander leaves, green chilies, potato , mozzarella cheese and salt to taste.
  4. Now take a ball size portion of the bajra dough and put a little filling in the centre and bind it well to the shape of a ball. Repeat this process with the remaining dough.
  5. Now dip these balls first into corn flour batter, then the bread crumbs and coat it well.
  6. In a deep frying pan add oil to heat and deep fry these balls one at a time till they turn golden on all sides. Fry these balls in a low- medium flame.
  7. Once they are crispy, remove and serve with any dip of your choice or tomato sauce.
