    Steamed Veg Momos

    Ingredients to make Steamed Veg Momos

    • 1 big cup plain flour(180 grams)
    • 1 cup chopped cabbage
    • 1 carrot grated
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
    • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
    • 3/4 teaspoon soy sauce
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt(or to taste)
    • 3/4 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
    • 2 Tablespoons oil

    How to make Steamed Veg Momos

    1. Make a smooth dough of flour using water and 1 tablespoon of oil. Knead the dough for atleast 5 minutes.
    2. In a pan, add 1 tablespoon oil. Saute ginger garlic paste on low flame. Add grated carrot and switch the flame to medium. Cook the carrots for 2 minutes.
    3. Add grated cabbage and bell pepper. Also add in 1/4 teaspoon salt, black pepper powder, soy sauce, red chilli powder and lemon juice. Cook the mixture for 1 minute more. Let the cabbage be little crunchy. So don't overcook.
    4. Make small balls of the dough. Take one and cover the rest. Roll this ball into a puri of 4 inches diameter. Also do not roll it very thin. Put 2 teaspoon mixture on the puri and seal the sides of the momos anyway you want. Make all the momos like this,
    5. Heat enough water in a steamer. Grease a perforated plate with oil. Put some momos on it and cover and steam the momos for 15 minutes or until their covering hardens a little bit.
    6. Once done serve the momos with spicy hot red sauce!

    My Tip:

    if you don't have a proper steamer then you can heat water in a big vessel and keep a perforated plate in it.
