Lamb Karahi

Ingredients to make Lamb Karahi

  • Lamb - 1 kilo
  • onion-2
  • Red tomato - 3
  • ginger crushed - 2 tablespoon
  • garlic crushed- 2 table spoon
  • Green chilli - 3 + 2 for garnishing
  • curd - 1/2 cup
  • chilly powder -1 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
  • Crushed pepper - 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil - 1 cup
  • coriander leaves for garnish
  • ginger julliene for garnish
  • Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 tsp

How to make Lamb Karahi

  1. In a heated karahi wok add oil and then add crushed ginger and garlic.saute well.
  2. Next add the washed and cleaned lamb and fry nicely until the colour changes to brown.
  3. Then add all masala powders and salt and mix well.
  4. Then add sliced onions and tomatoes,saute well.
  5. Cover the wok and cook until the lamb is done.open and stir for every 5 minutes.
  6. Then add the curd and mix well with lamb.cook well.
  7. Adjust salt and chillies according to your taste.no need to add water if possible,add little water.
  8. Lastly add dry fenugreek leaves and garnish with coriander leaves and ginger Juliennes and green chillies.
  9. Serve hot with rotis and naans.
