About flavoured mutton curry with potatoes in pressure cooker Recipe

This is not an authentic dish,but in my home i cook this whenever we have some guests at our home.Today i share this recipe with you.

Ingredients to make flavoured mutton curry with potatoes in pressure cooker

  • mutton 750
  • lime juice 1/2 cup
  • beresta 1 bowl
  • hing powder 1 tspn
  • fennel powder 1 tspn
  • dry ginger powder 1 tspn
  • kashmiri red chilly powder 1 tspn
  • make 1 paste of-
  • red chillies 4/5
  • ginger 3 "
  • garlic 10 cloves
  • Green cardamom 6
  • Black cardamom 3
  • cinnamon 2" stick
  • mace 2
  • pepper corn 8
  • others-
  • tomato puree 1/2 bowl
  • curd 250 gms
  • mustard oil
  • salt
  • fried potatoes 3 peeled, cut in halves
  • dried kasuri methi 2 tblspn

How to make flavoured mutton curry with potatoes in pressure cooker

  1. put the mutton in a marinade of lime juice & salt for 1 hour
  2. make a paste of listed spices
  3. strain the paste, bring out the juice
  4. mix that juice of spices in the curd. keep aside.
  5. put copious amount of mustard oil in pressure cooker.
  6. heat up to the smoke point.
  7. add 2 bay leaves,one cinnamon, 2 green cardamoms,4 cloves
  8. now squeeze the mutton pieces from marinade and put in pan,fry them
  9. add the hing powder,snauff powder,dry ginger powder,kashmiri red chilly powder fry in low flame
  10. add the beresta and fry for 2 minutes with mutton
  11. add tomato puree and keep stirring in high flame till it absorb by mutton
  12. lower the flame,then add the curd mixed with juice of the all spices fry them in low flame till it leaves the oil
  13. now add some splashes of water
  14. give a nice mix,add little more oil,salt,and kasuri methi
  15. keep frying in full flame for few minutes
  16. add fried potatoes
  17. keep the lid close
  18. keep in full flame till the first whitsle,then keep in low flame for 12 min
  19. switch off the flames,wait till the cooker opens it own

My Tip:

u can skip the potatoes.
