About Fish fry(Rohu fish) Recipe

This i s a very crispy fish recipe. This rohu fish fry is served as an appetizer/starter and also cooked with some Indian spices and flavored  masala paste.

Ingredients to make Fish fry(Rohu fish)

  • Rohu fish in curry cut(800gms
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • mustard oil 1tbsp
  • mustard oil 1 cup for frying

How to make Fish fry(Rohu fish)

  1. Clean the fish properly with running water.  Add 1 teaspoon salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder and mustard oil. Rub on the fish. Keep aside atleast for 15 minutes.
  2. Place a fry pan and add mustard oil and once the oil is heated add 4 slice of rohu fish (put fish according to your fry pan size. Please don,t over crowded the pan.)
  3. Fry on both sides till dark golden brown color appears (about 4-5 minutes each side, depends on size of your fish pieces)..Remove and fry the remaining rohu fish pieces in the same way.
  4. Serve hot with onions rings/slices, lemon,garlic and green chilli
