About Hyderabadi thali Recipe

Mughlai butter chicken and naan with curd and spicy garlic chuttney and smoked yellow dal.

Hyderabadi thali

Ingredients to make Hyderabadi thali

  • 1/2 kg tomato
  • 100 gm ginger garlic paste
  • 100 gm cashunut paste
  • 50 gm whole spices mix
  • 3 tsp of garam masala,red chilli powder,turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp of kasuri methi
  • 250 gm of ghee or butter
  • 1.5 cup of mix dal.
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 kg Boneless chicken
  • 3 tsp fresh cream

How to make Hyderabadi thali

  1. For butter chicken gravy add 4 tsp ghee in pan than add whole spices such as black pepper,green cardamon,cinamon and saute then add tomato and salt to taste and cashenut and cook for 20-25 min till water seprates then cool it down and puree it..
  2. In another pan add remaining ghee remaining then add ginger garlic paste and saute then add powder spices and mix then add tomato puree and mix and cook till oil start seprating then add kasuri methi and fresh cream serve with naan.
  3. For dal in a pressure cook add dal and double of water and add all powder spices and cook for 10-12 min till 2 whistle.
  4. For tempering of dal heat oil then add zeera seed ,ginger paste and dry powder spices and add this to dal mixture.
  5. For charcoal taste heat charcoal till red then put in small bowl and put in centre of dal and add ghee and cover for 5-7 min.
  6. Serve hot..enjoy.
