Punjabi Soya chap Rahrra

Ingredients to make Punjabi Soya chap Rahrra

  • 100gms soya Nutrela keema
  • 1/2kg soya chaap
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 cloves
  • salt to taste
  • A pinch of nutmeg powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 3 green chillies chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 3 tsp coriander powder
  • Fresh coriander for garnishing
  • 3-4 tomatoes chopped finely
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 2tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1tsp garam masala
  • pepper to taste
  • oil

How to make Punjabi Soya chap Rahrra

  1. Heat little oil in a wok and fry the soya chaap until lightly golden brown. In another pan boil soya keema and drain all the water.
  2. Now roast cumin seeds, cardamom and cloves and grind them.
  3. Heat 4 tsp oil in cooker and add onions, ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 mints.
  4. Add tomatoes, bay leaves, and cook for another minute.
  5. Now add cumin-clove powder, coriander powder, turmeric, chilli powder, garam masala, green chillies and saute until oil separates. (here you can add little water to it)
  6. Now add curd and soy keema and soy chap and salt and pepper to taste and cover. Cook until 1 whistle. (you can add water for the consistency as you like)
  7. After that open the pressure cooker and garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. You can have this vegetarian rahrra with romaali roti or naan.
