Shahi paneer

Ingredients to make Shahi paneer

  • 1 kg paneer
  • 3-4 onions
  • 7-8 medium sized tomatoes
  • 1 full cup malai
  • 300 gm of curd
  • 1/4 spoon lal mirch powder
  • 1/4 spoon garam masala
  • 1 spoon salt
  • 2 laung
  • 2 tejpata
  • 1 spoon sugar
  • 1 spoon tomato sauce
  • 1/2 spoon dania powder
  • A small piece of adarakh
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1/2spoon kali mirch powdee
  • 10-15 cashewnuts

How to make Shahi paneer

  1. First take a kadai and put one karchi oil.
  2. Cut the onion into four halves and saute in kadai.
  3. Cook till they are soft.
  4. Let them cool and grind in grinder to a fine paste.
  5. Again take tomato and saute in kadai after cutting in four pieces.
  6. Let them cool.
  7. Grind them in the grinder along with ginger,green chillies and curd.
  8. Now in the same kadai add dalchini,laung and tejpatta.
  9. Grind 10-15cashewnut with 1/2spoon kali.mirch powder.
  10. Take the onion mash and saute till light brown and then add tomatoes and saute.
  11. Now add malai or cream.
  12. Then add garam masala,namak,lal mirch,dania powder and grinded cashewnut and kali mirch powder and cook for 5min on low flame.
  13. Now cut the paneer pieces.
  14. Take the shahi paneer masala from the kadai to the serving bowl and arrange paneer pieces on top.
  15. Your shahi paneer is ready to serve. Sprinkle methi leaves and kali mirch powder on top.Happy cooking!!!!!

My Tip:

Grind the curd with the cooled sauted tomatoes to get that peach colour to ur dish.
