Lemony Kane Fish Gravy

Ingredients to make Lemony Kane Fish Gravy

  • Kane fish - 6
  • lemon - 1
  • coconut milk - 1 cup
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • onion - 1
  • green chilly - 2
  • mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • salt - to taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tablespoon

How to make Lemony Kane Fish Gravy

  1. Clean and wash the fishes thoroughly.
  2. Soak the fish in coconut milk with turmeric powder chopped green chilly and salt for about 10 minutes
  3. Add required amount of water to the fish mixture and allow to boil in a low flame
  4. In a pan heat oil add mustard seeds.
  5. After they splutter add chopped onions and curry leaves and saute for a minute.
  6. Pour this tempering mixture into the fish and allow it to boil for some minutes.
  7. Switch off the flame. When the gravy cools down squeeze out the lemon.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
