Kadhi pakora with bajra khichdi

Ingredients to make Kadhi pakora with bajra khichdi

  • gram flour 300 gram
  • Sour curd 500 gram or chaach 1 litre
  • 1 onion
  • mustard oil for frying pakodas
  • oil for tadka in kadhi 2 tablespoons
  • fenugreek seeds 1 teaspoon
  • cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  • Asoefodia 1/2 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  • Red pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  • For khichdi
  • Bajra millet grains 250 gram
  • Split green moong pulse 2 tablespoons
  • rice 2 tablespoons
  • salt 1 teaspoon
  • ghee 2 tablespoons
  • cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  • Asoefodia 1/4 teaspoon
  • 3...4 dry whole red chillies

How to make Kadhi pakora with bajra khichdi

  1. Chopped onion
  2. Add half of the gram flour
  3. Add half of the salt , pepper powder, asoefodia in it
  4. Make a smooth paste by adding little water
  5. Make small fritters Soak the fritters in water
  6. Now mix remaining gram flour in buttermilk
  7. Now in a vok put oil for making kadhi
  8. Add asoefodia, fenugreek seeds , cumin seeds, whole red chillies and curry leaves
  9. Add buttermilk mix in these spices
  10. Add turmeric powder and red pepper powder and salt
  11. Mix well
  12. Cook for atleast 10 minutes at slow flame
  13. Now squeeze the fritters and add in kadhi
  14. Cook for more 3. 4 minutes
  15. For khichdi..wash and soak moillet grains for 1 hour
  16. Wash and soak rice and pulse also in another bowl
  17. Now grind coarsely
  18. Now in a big pot add all the 3 things millet grains, rice and pulse on slow flame adding 4 glasses of water
  19. Add salt
  20. Cook till grains soften
  21. It take almost 15 ...20 minutes
  22. Now make tadka
  23. Put ghee in a tadka pan
  24. Add asoefodia and cumin seeds and whole red chillies
  25. Serve hot with kadhi
