ABOUT Achari chicken RECIPE

Its a side dish of chicken of different taste. You can take it with rice or roti or paratha or nan as well.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Chicken 1kg
  2. Capsicum 150gm diced
  3. Onion 2 medium size finely chopped
  4. ginger paste 2 tspn
  5. onion paste 2 tbspn
  6. garlic paste 2 tbspn
  7. Green chilli paste 2 tspn
  8. Tomato 2 medium size diced
  9. Curd 1 cup
  10. Kasundi 2 tspn
  11. Panchforon (cumin, kalanzi, fenugreek, black mustard, fennel) roasted and grinded 3 tbspn
  12. Coriander powder 2 tspn
  13. Mustard oil
  14. Sugar 2 tspn
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with 1/2 cup of curd and keep aside
  2. Heat mustard oil in a kadai. Add chopped onions and diced capsicum. Fry them for 3-4 min.
  3. Add diced tomatoes. Keep frying for 2-3 min more.
  4. Now add ginger, onion, garlic and chilli paste. Saute for 5 min. Add salt, sugar, turmeric powder and red mirch pwder. Keep sauteing.
  5. Add the marinated chicken and saute for 10 min.
  6. Add ground panchforon, coriander, kasundi and rest of the curd.
  7. Add hot water and keep in medium flame until the chiken become tender.
  8. Let the gravy be dried at your desired consistency.
