Ingredients to make Bottlegourd -chana daal gravy

  • Bottlegourd 11/2 cup
  • chana daal 1 tbsp
  • red chilli powder 11/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 2 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • onions 3
  • bay leaves 2
  • cinnamon stick 1
  • Black pepper 3
  • cloves 2
  • salt to taste

How to make Bottlegourd -chana daal gravy

  1. TAKE ALL GARAM MASALA AND GRIND ONION TO MAKE A PASTE
  2. HEAT OIL CRACKLE CUMIN SEEDS THEN ROAST ONION TILL BROWN
  3. ADD ALL SPICES AND SALT AND COOK FOR SOME TIME
  4. SEE THE CHANGE IN COLOUR
  5. NOW MASALA IS READY AND DRY
  6. ADD CUT BOTTLEGOURD PIECES IN IT
  7. ADD SOAKED DAAL COOK FOR SOME TIME .ADD WATER AND LET IT COOK TILL 10-15 MINUTES .
