Sharing my Mom's Shinni recipe which is a traditional Bengali prasad made for Satyanarayan Puja.. this recipe brings back memories of my childhood

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Flour 2 cup
  2. Raw milk 200ml
  3. Sugar 1 cup
  4. Ripe banana 2
  5. Cashew 10-15
  6. Raisin 10-15
  7. Grated coconut 1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a clean bowl add the flour.
  2. Add sugar and bananas to it and mash them.
  3. Add milk to it to form a smooth soft paste.
  4. Add the crushed coconut and mix them well.
  5. Now transfer the mixture in a clean bowl or a Puja thali.
  6. Add raisins and chashew nuts on top.
  7. Finally sprinkle with some grated coconut.
  8. Traditional Bengali Shinni is ready to be served.
