ABOUT Pua (Bihari sweet) RECIPE

A dish made of flour that is deep fried and yummy.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Wheat flour- 1 cup
  2. Sugar- 1/4 cup or as per taste
  3. Crushed saunf- 1.5 tsp
  4. Desiccated coconut- 1 tsp
  5. Suji- 1 tsp
  6. Milk 1/4 cup, adjust as per need
  7. Oil for frying
  8. A pinch of baking powder, optional

Instructions

  1. Seive the wheat flour, add sugar, desiccated coconut, saunf, suji. Mix it well together.
  2. Add the milk and make a thick batter like that of pakora batter. Then add a pinch of baking powder.
  3. Keep the batter aside for 15 mins.
  4. Heat oil to fry.
  5. Make small ball shapes with your hands and gently put them into the hot oil. Fry at a medium heat till they become brown in colour from all sides.
  6. Enjoy them warm!
