litti is very famous Bihari dish loved by many people . My mother used to make it on cow dung cake flame I als try to make it in the same way and with same spices

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For litti
  2. 1/2 kg wheat flour
  3. 6 spoon ghee
  4. salt to taste
  5. ajwain1 sp
  6. roasted gram flour (sattu)250 GMs
  7. chopped green chilly 1 sp. ginger 1 sp. garlic 2 sp onion 2 chopped finely
  8. 1 lemon
  9. pepper powder 1/2 sp
  10. roasted cumin seeds 1 spoon
  11. baking soda pinch
  12. for bharta
  13. boiler potato 4. 2 big brinjal 4 tomatoes roasted
  14. chilly 1 sp 3 sp finely chopped garlic
  15. salt
  16. oil

Instructions

  1. form dough with wheat flour using water salt 1:2 sp ajwain and baking soda .Dough should be bit hard
  2. for filling
  3. take sattu add salt chopped ginger garlic onion ajwain pepper salt to taste
  4. add some pickle masala
  5. add 1 sp mustard oil
  6. mix them properly
  7. make small balls from dough
  8. fill in sattu masala and cook it over cow dung flame over a gauge so that litti is cooked properly
  9. when it is cooked stire it in a pan with ghee
  10. for bharta
  11. clean veggies and mash them properly
  12. Take a pan add 4 sp mustard oil add garlic and chilly to it stir it till brown
  13. mnow add mashed veggies add salt and cover the lid till it gets cooked
  14. serve both with green chatni pickle and sliced onion
