ABOUT Tangy fish curry RECIPE

This is absolutely delicious fish curry, requires no frying of masala, gets ready in a jiffy.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 6 piece of sea water fish
  2. 2 cup coriander leaves
  3. 2 green chillies
  4. 6 garlic cloves
  5. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  6. 1/4 tsp black pepper
  7. 1 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  8. 1/2 tsp termeric powder
  9. 1 cup freshly grated coconut
  10. 7-8 peices of fish tamarind/kokam
  11. Salt to taste
  12. few curry leaves
  13. 2 tbsp cooking oil


  1. Grind coriander leaves, coconut, green chillies, cumin seeds, black pepper to a smooth paste.
  2. In a earthen pot or any other pan put ground masala, salt, chilli powder, termeric and oil mix well.
  3. Add fish pieces, curry leaves and kokam, and just enough water for fish to dip inside the masala
  4. Cook it covered for 10 minutes on slow flame and then 5 minutes without lid
  5. Oil will float up once it is done. Serve it with steamed rice.
