Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the dough
  2. 2 cups maida
  3. 1/4th cup ghee
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Water as needed
  6. For the filling
  7. 2 cups grated paneer
  8. 1 chopped onion
  9. 1/2 tsp nigella seeds
  10. 1 tsp fennel seeds
  11. 1 green chilly chopped finely
  12. 2 tsp coriander powder
  13. 1 tsp garam masala
  14. 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped finely
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Oil for frying


  1. In a bowl mix all the ingredients for making a soft dough. Use water as needed to make a soft dough.
  2. Keep the dough aside for half an hour.
  3. In a pan heat oil and add all the ingredients except coriander leaves. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Lastly add coriander leaves. Let the mixture cool.
  4. Now take a lemon sized pinch of dough. Roll it using a rolling pin,now add a spoonful of the mixture prepared.
  5. Seal the end and remove the excess dough. Roll it again with a rolling pin.
  6. Prepare the other kachoris similarly.
  7. Heat oil in a pan. Deep fry the kachoris on a low flame till it turns golden brown in colour.G
  8. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup. Garnish with sev ( optional)
