ABOUT Gravy Momos RECIPE

Momo is a type of south Asian Dumpling. Momos is famous street food now a days. This gravy momos is my innovative receipe. Hereave made rose shaped momos. By making the momos in gravy I have give the twist to this receipe. For the gravy I have used Chinese Ingredients. So u can called this momos to Chinese Momos.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. A) For filling
  2. 1 cup grated cabbage
  3. 1/2 cup grated carrot
  4. 2 tbsp Oil
  5. 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  6. 1/2 tbsp green chilli paste
  7. 1 tbsp soya sauce
  8. Salt to taste
  9. B) For Dough
  10. 1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 1/2 tbsp oil
  13. Warer as require
  14. C) for gravy
  15. 1/4 cup chopped onions
  16. 1/4 cup chopped Capsicum
  17. 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  18. 1/2 tbsp green chilli paste
  19. 1 and 1/2 tbsp soya sauce
  20. 1 tbsp chilli sauce
  21. 1/4 cup cornstarch
  22. 1/2 tbsp schezwan sauce
  23. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD 1/2 TSP EACH OF GINGER- GARLIC & GREEN CHILLI PASTE
  2. ADD 1 CUP GRATED CABBAGE, SAUTE
  3. ADD 1/2 CUP GRATED CARROTS, SAUTE FOR 2 MINS
  4. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 1 TSP SOYA SAUCE, SAUTE FOR 2 MINS, TAKE OFF HEAT & SET ASIDE
  5. ADD HALF A LEMON, 3 CUPS OF WATER TO A STEAMER, PRE-HEAT FOR 15 MINS
  6. TAKE 1.5 CUPS FLOUR, ADD SALT, 1 TBSP OIL
  7. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER, KNEAD INTO A SEMI-SOFT DOUGH
  8. SET ASIDE TO REST FOR 10 MINS
  9. NOW KNEAD AGAIN FOR 2 MINS
  10. TAKE SMALL BALLS OF DOUGH, DUST WITH FLOUR, ROLL OUT SMALL ROTIS
  11. PLACE 2 TSP READY FILLING IN THE CENTRE
  12. APPLY WATER ON THE EDGES, FOLD
  13. SHAPE INTO ROSE SHAPED MOMOS LIKE THIS
  14. PLACE THE MOMOS ON AN OIL-GREASED PLATE IN THE PRE-HEATED STEAMER, COVER & COOK FOR 10 MINS
  15. THE MOMOS ARE DONE, TAKE OFF HEAT
  16. HEAT 1 TSP OIL, ADD 1/2 TSP EACH OF GINGER- GARLIC & GREEN CHILLI PASTE, SAUTE
  17. ADD 1/4 CUP DICED ONIONS, SAUTE UNTIL SOFT
  18. ADD 1/4 CUP DICED CAPSICUM, SAUTE FOR 5 MINS
  19. ADD SALT, 1.5 TSP SOYA SAUCE
  20. ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI SAUCE, MIX IN
  21. ADD 1/4 CUP CORNFLOUR SLURRY, MIX
  22. ADD 1/2 TSP SCHEZWAN SAUCE
  23. ADD THE READY MOMOS, MIX GENTLY & COOK FOR 1 MINUTE
  24. SERVE HOT, TRY THEM, THEY'RE YUM
