ABOUT Pomfret Fry RECIPE

Have a Wonderful Sunday lunch with Pomfret fry ,hot rice and Rasam. The typical South Indian style of enjoying any fish. Mildly spiced but immensely loaded with flavours , this will definitely satisfy your taste buds.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Pomfret 10 pieces
  2. 1 Tsp Coriander
  3. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  4. 1/2 Tsp ajwain
  5. 2 cloves
  6. 6 pepper corns
  7. 4 green caardamoms
  8. 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  9. 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  10. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  11. 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  12. Salt to taste
  13. 2 tbsp curd

Instructions

  1. PUT ,1 TSP CORIANDER 1/2 TSP EACH OF CUMIN & AJWAIN IN A GRINDER
  2. ADD 2 CLOVES, 6 PEPPERCORNS, 4 SKINNED GREEN CARDAMOMS, 1/2 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS, 1 TSP RED CHILLI, 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  3. APPLY 1 TBSP LEMON JUICE & SOME SALT TO 500 GM POMFRET
  4. MIX GROUND SPICE POWDER WITH 2 TBSP CURD
  5. ADD THIS INTO THE FISH & MIX
  6. REFRIGERATE MARINATED FISH FOR AN HOUR
  7. SHALLOW FRY IN OIL TILL CRISP
