ABOUT Crispy Pepper Vadas RECIPE

It is the crispiest vada made with 5 ingredients. Urad dal, pepper, salt, hing and rice flour. We call it hanuman vadas. Making vada is very challenging as it should be crispy as possible. Vada mixture should be coarse. Vadas should be thin as possible to get crispy bites.

  1. Urad dal 1/2 cup
  2. Black pepper 1 Tbsp
  3. Salt
  4. Rice flour 1 tsp
  5. Hing
  6. oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. SOAK 1/2 CUP URAD DAL FOR 30 MINUTES
  2. COMPLETELY STRAIN WATER AND REST IT FOR 30 MINUTES
  3. ADD URAD DAL AND 1 TBSP PEPPER TO BLENDER
  4. ADD SALT.DONOT ADD WATER AND GRIND TO COARSE PASTE
  5. ADD HING AND 1 TSP RICE FLOUR. MIX WELL
  6. ADD HOT OIL. MIX WELL
  7. GREASE YOUR HAND AND SURFACE WITH OIL TO MAKE VADAS
  8. GENTLY TAP YOUR FINGER TO SHAPE VADAS
  9. VADAS SHOULD BE THIN FOR CRISPY BITES
  10. DEEP FRY VADAS ON MEDIUM FLAME

  12. CRISPY HANUMAN VADAS READY TO SERVE
