Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tuvar dal 1 cup
  2. Ghee 2 tbsp
  3. Asefotidia 1 pinch
  4. Cumin 1 tsp
  5. Termeric powder 1 tsp
  6. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Water 3 cups
  9. For rice....
  10. Rice 1 cup
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Lemon juice 8-10 drops

Instructions

  1. IN A COOKER HEAT GHEE...ADD ASEFOTIDIA, CUMIN, TERMURIC POWDER, RED CHILLI POWDER AND TUVAR DAL.
  2. ADD SALT AND WATER.
  3. CLOSE THE LID AND TAKE 2 WHISTLES.
  4. OPEN THE LID AND DAL IS READY.
  5. NOW ADD SALT AND SOAKED RICE IN BOILING WATER.
  6. ADD LEMON JUICE.
  7. COOK FOR 5 MINUTES ON A HIGH FLAME AND CHECK BY JUST RUBBING A PIECE OF RICE.
  8. STRAIN THE RICE.
