ABOUT One Pot Rasam RECIPE

Delicious ,healthy comfort rasam served with plain rice and pappads.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tamarind solution with salt to taste -2 cups, soak and make with a lemon size tamarind pulp.
  2. oil - 1 tbsp
  3. Mustard1/2 tsp& 1/4 tso fenugreek tsp
  4. Dried red chilli -1- 2
  5. Curry leaves -1 arc
  6. Crushed garlic -5 cloves
  7. Crushed green chilli -1
  8. Rasam powder -2 tsp
  9. turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  10. asafoetida - 2 pinch
  11. Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  12. salt - to taste.
  13. Curry leaves -1 arc

Instructions

  1. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL, ADD 1/2 TSP MUSTARD & 1/4 TSP FENUGREEK SEEDS, 1-2 DRY RED CHILLIES
  2. ADD 6-8 CURRY LEAVES
  3. ADD 5 CRUSHED GARLIC CLOVES, 1 GREEN CHILLI, SAUTE
  4. ADD 2 TSP RASAM POWDER, 1/4 TSP ASAFOETIDA
  5. MIX & ADD 1 CUP SALTED TAMARIND WATER
  6. ADD 1/4 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  7. ADD 2 TBSP CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES, SIMMER
  8. AS IT COMES TO A BOIL, TAKE OFF HEAT
