Corn Palak

Palak is a dark green leafy vegetable and richest source of iron when cooked with sweetcorn and creamy gravy. It tastes yum and i bet even Palak hater can not resist eating it.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 400 gms Spinach (Palak)
  2. Sweet corn 100 gms
  3. Onion 2 big diced
  4. Tomatoes 2 big -pureed
  5. Ginger garlic paste -2 teaspoon
  6. Clove (long) 2 to 4
  7. Cinnamon 1 stick
  8. Black pepper 4-5
  9. Fresh cream or Malai 1/2 cup
  10. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  11. Coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Oil


  1. Roughly chopped Spinach (Palak) and wash im 4-5 waters.
  2. Heat a pan, add palak, clove cinnamon stick and blanch the spinach for a minute.
  3. And keep it aside to let it cool. Meanwhile heat a oil in kadhai. Add star anise and cloves(optional).
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and diced onions . Saute.
  5. Swich off the flame. And add these onions to mixer jar and make a fine paste.
  6. Heat the same kadhai add few drops of oil . And add sauted onion paste . Saute. And add tomato puree.
  7. Add salt red chilli powder, coriander powder. Stir, simmer till oil separates.
  8. Meanwhile add blanched Spinach (palak) in a mixer jar. Blend to make fine paste.
  9. Add this palak paste to kadhai. Stir.
  10. Add fresh cream, and de-refrigerated and washed sweet corn.
  11. Stir and simmer for two minutes. Switch off the flame.
  12. Serve hot with choice of Naan or Roti.
