Mutton Shami Kabab is a very tasty kabab recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. boneless mutton cube 200 grams
  2. Split Bengal gram - 1/2 cup
  3. Roughly chopped onions 1no
  4. Ginger and garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  5. Bay Leave - 1no
  6. Mint leaves one tablespoon
  7. Coriander leaves 2 tablespoon
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Ghee 1 teaspoon
  10. Oil for frying
  11. Garam masala powder half teaspoon
  12. Beaten egg 1 no
  13. Lime juice 1 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak Dal overnight drain the water in the morning.
  2. In a pressure cooker add the boneless meat, soaked Dal, chopped onion, ginger garlic paste ,bay leaves ,Red Chillies and salt.
  3. Then add 1 cup water cover and cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
  4. Cook until water dries and let it cool.
  5. Pick out the bay leaves from the pressure cooker and discard them.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a grinder jar and grind.
  7. Your grind should not be too smooth, rather the meat fibres should still be visible.
  8. Transfer this ground mixture to a mixing bowl.
  9. Then add chopped green chillies, mint and coriander leaves, salt , garam masala powder ,lime juice and beaten egg.
  10. Mix everything together thoroughly by hand.
  11. apply some ghee on your palm so the mixture doesn't stick to them and make the kebabs.
  12. On medium flame hit the grill tawa & add oil.
  13. Once oil is hot then at kebabs one by one.
  14. Fry each site for about 2 minutes until they and brown.
  15. Then take out from the tawa and serve with green chutney.
