Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chickpeas 2 cup
  2. Oil 5 spoon
  3. Onion 1
  4. Tomato 2
  5. Garlic pod 1
  6. Ginger 2
  7. Chole masala 1 spoon
  8. Garam masala 1 spoon
  9. Turmeric powder 1 spoon
  10. Red chilli powder 1 spoon
  11. Salt as per ur taste
  12. Cumin 1 spoon
  13. Chakri phool 1
  14. Clove 2
  15. Bay leaf 1
  16. Cardoman 1
  17. Salt as per ur taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, clove ,cardoman, and chakri phool.
  2. Sauté till it crackles. Add finely chopped onion and cook till its golden brown.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute.Add mashed tomatoes and cook for two minutes.
  4. Now add chhole masala pwd and stir well. Add red chilly powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and salt. Cover and cook in low medium flame for 6 to 7 mins.You can see the oil separates out from the gravy.
  5. Now add the soaked chickpeas and mix it well.
  6. Put water and pressure cooker for 6 to 7 whistle .
  7. Chole is ready, serve it with bhature or rice.
  8. Garnish with green coriander and onion rings.
