Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Hilsa fish deboned 1cup
  2. Prawn paste 1cup
  3. Mustard paste 2tbsp
  4. Ginger garlic paste 1/2tsp
  5. Salt
  6. Sugar
  7. Haldi powder
  8. Chilly powder
  9. Besan
  10. Pumpkin leaves
  11. Oil
  12. Sodium bi carb
  13. Kalonji
  14. Onion finely chopped


  1. Heat oil in a pan
  2. Temper with kalonji nd add the mustard paste
  3. Add salt nd haldi powder
  4. Stir nd add finely chopped green chillies
  5. Add the hilsa
  6. Mix well nd keep aside
  7. Put oil nd add the onions
  8. Add ginger garlic paste
  9. The dry masala, seasoning to be added along with the prawn
  10. Keep stirring.until it leaves oil
  11. Keep aside
  12. Prepare a thick batter with besan, kalonji, sodi bi carb,salt, haldi nd chilly powder.
  13. Take a pumpkin leaf put a layer of hilsa nd fold, then put a layer of prawn nd fold.
  14. Now dip the folded fish pockets in the batter nd fry in medium heat till they are well cooked nd brown.
