Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 bowl soaked and grinded chana dal
  2. 1/2 bowl grated fresh nariyal or desiccated coconut
  3. 1/2 bowl finely chopped onion
  4. Few chopped coriander leaves
  5. Few chopped curry leaves
  6. Chopped green chillies 1 or 2
  7. Salt, garam masala, red chilly as per your taste
  8. 1 inch piece grated ginger
  9. 1 tbsp besan


  1. Mix all in a bowl and make a thick paste except salt , mix salt at the time of frying.
  2. If you don't want to make vada at that time then keep the batter in fridge
  3. If batter is lil runny then add 1 tbsp besan to make it thick to bind easily
  4. Take some portion from the batter and give shape them like vada make a hole in the middle.
  5. And deep fry in a hot oil on medium flame till golden. Take them out on a tissue paper.
  6. Best go with green chutney or coconut chutney
  7. Serve hot.
