ABOUT SEV TAMATAR RECIPE

It tastes tangy,tempering tomatoes and adding gram flour strands,its mainly a popular dish in Gujrat

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Thick sev 1 cup
  2. onion 1 sliced
  3. grated Ginger half spoon
  4. grated garlic 1/4 spoon
  5. grated tomatoes 2
  6. garam masala powder 1/4 spoon
  7. cumin seeds 1 spoon
  8. asafoetida.1 pinch
  9. mustard seeds half spoon
  10. turmeric powder half spoon
  11. Kashmiri red chilli powder half spoon
  12. coriander powder half spoon
  13. cumin powder half spoon
  14. pepper powder half spoon
  15. salt as per taste
  16. oil 2 spoon

Instructions

  1. In a wok heat oil
  2. put asafoetida ,mustard seeds and cumin seeds
  3. after 2 minutes put some onion slices
  4. when it turns translucent put ginger garlic paste
  5. after frying put turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder ,Kashmiri red chilli powder ,pepper powder
  6. after frying put grated tomatoes along with salt
  7. cover it with a lid
  8. after 5 minutes put some hot water and let it boil for some more minutes
  9. after the gravy become thick put some garam masala powder
  10. turn off the gas
  11. now add the gram flour strands and mix it well
  12. Serve hot with poories, roties and rice
