ABOUT Zunka Bhakari RECIPE

This is Traditional Maharashtrian Dish which is Very Delicious & Tasty. Zunka is made with Chickpea Flour / Besan. Bhakari is made with Rice Flour.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Zunka Ingredients
  2. 1 cup Chickpea Flour / Besan
  3. 2 Medium sized Onion
  4. 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Pest
  5. 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeera
  6. 1 tsp Kanda-Lasun Masala
  7. 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  8. 1/4 tbsp Finally Chopped Coriander
  9. Salt to Taste
  10. Hot Water ( As Per Requirement )
  11. Bhakari Ingredients
  12. 1 cup Rice Flour
  13. Salt to Taste
  14. 1 tsp Oil
  15. Hot Water ( As Per Requirement )

Instructions

  1. Besan / Chickpea Flour Zunka Method :
  2. First Finally Chopped the Onions.
  3. Put Kadhai on the Gas n poured Oil in it to Heated it Up.
  4. Aftet Heated Added Cumin Seeds / Jeera let it Crackled.
  5. Then Added Ginger-Garlic Pest & Finally Chopped Onion & Sauted it on a Nice Golden Brown Colour.
  6. Then Added Kanda-Lasun Masala, Red Chilli Powder & Sauted a Little.
  7. Then Added Besan / Chickpea Flour & Sauted it till its Raw Smell Gone Away.
  8. Then Poured Hot water on Besan & Stirred Continuously to Avoid Got Lums In it.
  9. Then Added Salt to Taste & Covered it with the Lid on it.
  10. Garmagaram Zunka is Ready.
  11. Rice Flour Bhakari Recipe :
  12. First took Broad Vessal put it on Gas & Poured 1 cup Water Added Salt to Taste, & Little Oil then Boiled the Water.
  13. Then Added Rice Flour then Mixed it Well & Avoid Got Lumps in it.
  14. Put the Lid on it & Cooked it for 5 minutes then Put the Gas Off & Let it Cooked on Steam in it.
  15. After Ready Rice Flour comes on Room Temperature took some Hot Water & Kneaded the Dough & Made it Soft.
  16. Then made Medium Sized Balls of the Rice Flour Dough.
  17. Then put the Dough on Rolling Surface & made Bhakari by Rolling Pin.
  18. Put the Pan on the Gas to Heated it up.
  19. Then put the Bhakari on the Pan & Spread Some Water on the Bhakari & Roasted the Bhakari from Broth the Sides.
  20. Garmagaram Rice Flour Bhakari is Ready.
  21. Put the Zunka & Bhakari in a Serving Plate With Onion Pieces.
  22. Garmagaram Zunka Bhakari is Ready to Eat.
