Traditionally we cook vermicelli in milk and then add sugar but in this recioe i have caramalized the sugar first and then add milk and vermicelli .i have also added hershey's caramel syrup for a different taste.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 litre full cream milk
  2. 1/4 cup sugar
  3. 1 cup water
  4. 1/2 cup roasted vermicelli
  5. 1/4 cup chopoed cashew almonds
  6. 1 spoon clarified butter
  7. 1/4 cup hershey's caramel syrup


  1. Heat clarified butter in a wok
  2. Roast chopped cashew and almonds in it
  3. Put sugar in a pan
  4. Switch on the flame and let the sugar caramelize without stirring
  5. Once the sugar caramelized add water and let the sugar crystals dissolve completely
  6. Add milk and let it boil
  7. Add roasted vermicelli and cook on medium flame
  8. Stir occasionally until the vermicelli cooked and it turn thick
  9. Switch off the flame
  10. Add hershey's caramel syrup and roasted cashew and almonds
  11. Caramelized padam is ready.
