It is south Indian famous break fast which is commonly served with ginger chutney

Upma pesarattu

Ingredients to make Upma pesarattu

  • Sprouted moong 2 cups
  • rice 1/2 cup
  • methi seeds 1/2 tsp
  • onion finely chopped 2
  • Green chilli 5-6
  • water as needed
  • ginger finely chopped 2 tsp
  • Bombay ravva 1/2 glass
  • water 4 1/2 glass
  • salt as needed
  • mustard seeds 1tsp
  • ghee 2 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Finely chopped ginger 1/2 tsp

How to make Upma pesarattu

  1. Firstly soak the moon, rice for 4-5 hours
  2. Now add the ingredients in the mixi jar and make a fine paste
  3. Now add green chilli,salt and blend them once again
  4. Now take a Kadai and add ghee and let ghee melts
  5. Once ghee melts add cumin seeds and mustard seeds, Green chilli, ginger and fry well
  6. Now pour water and enough salt and boil well
  7. Now with continuous stirring add Bombay ravva and. Boiled for 2-3 minute. And switch off the flame when it. In loose. Cosistancy
  8. Now switch on the stove and add oil and pour the batter and spread evenly and add onion,ginger
  9. Once it is done in between add prepared upma and serve
