ABOUT KARELA SOUP (BITTERGOURD SOUP ) RECIPE

This soup has medicinal values,bittergourd cures and are benificial for many diseases like anemia,asthma,diabeties,skin diseases etc.,this soup contains potassium,copper ,vitaminC,iron sodium and many more,it works as an ayurvedic medicine too

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. bitter gourd( Karela) 100 gram
  2. onions 2( medium)
  3. Tomatoes 2( medium)
  4. chana dal 25 grams
  5. crushed black pepper 2 teaspoons
  6. Rock Salt as required
  7. Oil 1 tbsp
  8. Water as required
  9. basil leaves 10 -12

Instructions

  1. Cut the Karela or bitter gourd, onions and tomatoes into medium sized pieces
  2. grind the chana dal into powder
  3. now heat oil in a wok, and add Kerela ,tomatoes and onions and sautee for a while in a medium flame
  4. now add powered chana dal to it
  5. mix it well and fry for 1 -2 minutes
  6. now add required amount of water and boil the vegetables till soft , cover with a lid
  7. now take out the veggies in a mixture jar,and make it cool
  8. now grind the veggies
  9. strain it with a strainer
  10. Sprinkle some rock salt and crushed black pepper
  11. put some basil leaves and serve hot
