Gobhi/Cauliflower flowrets scraped fine and seasoned well, a great tasty filling for Paranthas, Punjab's most favourite Paratha.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Small size cauliflower /Gobhi
  2. Salt as per taste
  3. 1 tsp ajwain
  4. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  5. 1 tsp whole cumin
  6. 1-2 green chillies optional
  7. Butter to smear


  1. Knead flour tightly.
  2. Make the cauliflower filling.
  3. Scrape Fine /instead of grating the Gobhi.
  4. Add salt and ajwain and mix well.
  5. Now sprinkle red chilli and cumin.
  6. Add chopped coriander.
  7. Chopped green chillies optional.
  8. Mix lightly.
  9. Now make eight small portions of flour and roll into pooris.
  10. Take one poori and put gobhi filling, cover with the other poori.
  11. Close sides well and roll round lightly to avoid tearing.
  12. Heat tava well and roast on both sides.
  13. Remove on plate, smear butter of your choice. Tastes great with white unsalted butter.
