Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. One bunch of sarson ka saag
  2. Half quantity of sarson is palak leaves
  3. Half quantity of palak , take bathua leaves
  4. A handful of fenugreek leaves
  5. 4-5 green chillies
  6. 1-2 inch pieces of ginger
  7. Maize Flour( makki ka atta) 2 cups plus 2 tablespoon
  8. Ghee 2 tablespoon
  9. Red Chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Salt to taste
  11. hing pinch
  12. White butter to serve along with saag
  13. 1 medium size chopped onions
  14. 2 medium size chopped tomatoes
  15. 2-3 pods crushed garlic


  1. Take all the green leafy vegetables and clean them properly with water
  2. Chop them and add all of them along with ginger and green chillies into the cooker.
  3. Preasure cook them on low flame for 4-5 whistles.
  4. Once the cooker cools down, take a hand blender and lightly puree the saag.
  5. Add 2 tablespoon of maize flour in water and mix this into the saag.
  6. Cook the saag on low flame till the rawness of the flour goes away.
  7. Take a small pan, add ghee add crushed garlic add chopped onions. Saute till the onions turn light brown.
  8. Add chopped tomatoes and red chilli powder and saute well till they get soft.
  9. Add this masala to the saag, boil together for 5-6 minutes.
  10. Make makki ki roti and serve with white butter
  11. Makki ki roti to be make my kneading soft dough with warm water and little salt.
