Kaju Makhana Gravy

Ingredients to make Kaju Makhana Gravy

  • Makhana /lotus seeds - 1 cup
  • cashew nuts - 50 gm
  • ginger paste - 2 tbsp
  • ginger julienned- 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Beaten curd - 1/2 cup
  • Vrat Special Garam masala- 2 tbsp
  • cream - 100 ml
  • sendha namak - little less than 1 tsp or according to taste
  • Some fried cashews for garnishing.

How to make Kaju Makhana Gravy

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger paste and saute add 2 tbsp water and saute.
  2. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add cashew nuts paste and saute.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes. Add beaten curd and saute.
  5. Add a cup of water and saute.
  6. Cook for 6-7 minutes.
  7. In the meanwhile Deep fry makhanas and soak them in a cup of water
  8. Add them in the gravy and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Finish it with cream ,ginger julienne and fried cashews.
  10. The ultimate yummy gravy is ready to enjoy.

My Tip:

Coriander leaves can also be used for garnishing.
