A very simple, delicious and crispy Chai puri that is perfect with a cup of tea.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1/2 kg wheat flour/maida
  2. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  3. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  4. Salt according to taste
  5. 1 tbsp ajwain
  6. 1 tbsp white til
  7. 1 tbsp jeera
  8. 1/2 tbsp hing
  9. Kasuri Methi 1 tbsp
  10. 1/2 cup Oil for moyan
  11. Lukewarm water to make dough
  12. oil to deep fry


  1. In a bowl mix all dry ingredients.
  2. Then add oil or ghee for moyan.
  3. Mix it, it will look crumbly.
  4. Now add required water for making dough.
  5. Make little soft dough.
  6. Cover it with clean kitchen towel and rest it for 5 minutes.
  7. Now make small balls from dough.
  8. Roll the ball like chapati.
  9. Prick it with help of fork as shown in pic.
  10. Now cut in circle shape with lid or cutter.
  11. Heat oil in a deep pan then fry it till becomes golden in colour.
  12. Take out these crispy chai puri on tissue paper.
  13. Your chai puri is now ready to serve with a hot cup of tea.
