Manchurian Paratha

Ingredients to make Manchurian Paratha

  • For the stuffing:
  • cabbage shredded 4 cups
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  • Manchurian masala 1 tbsp
  • For the paratha dough:
  • wheat flour 1 cup
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt 1/4 tsp
  • water to knead the dough
  • oil/butter to roast the paratha

How to make Manchurian Paratha

  1. First of all heat the oil in a wok, add in the cumin seeds, turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
  2. Add in the shredded cabbage and salt, saute it well.
  3. Cook it covered and stir in between to prevent from burning.
  4. When fully cooked, keep it aside, let it cool completely. The stuffing is ready.
  5. Knead soft dough of the flour by adding all the ingredients together mentioned for the dough.
  6. Take 1/4 portion of the dough to make a ball, roll it a little with a rolling pin and fill a little stuffing. Then close it like any paratha. (Refer to the pic above)
  7. Once again roll it with the help of a rolling pin. Use rice flour for dusting.
  8. Roast this paratha in a non-stick skillet using little butter/clarified butter.
  9. Serve it hot with a Schezwan chutney/pickle/curd.

My Tip:

Instead of manchurian masala, you can add in soya sauce, vinegar and corn flour.
