ABOUT Makhana Ki Kheer RECIPE

A very tasty and healthy kheer. Can be served during fasts also

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup - Makhana
  2. 1/2 liter - whole fat milk
  3. 2 -3 tbsp - sugar (or as per taste)
  4. 2 tbsp - chopped almonds and pista
  5. 1 pinch of Kesar
  6. Elaichi powder as per taste.


  1. In a pan heat 2 tsp of ghee add Makhana and roast for 2 mins .
  2. Add milk and sugar and cook till makhanas are nice and soft and kheer is thickened.
  3. Add kesar, elachi, and nuts and give a boil and serve garnished with more nuts.
